About Me
Long Story Short...
I'm a UX researcher with a background in psychology and healthcare. I took numerous volunteering and internship opportunities in healthcare settings to explore how people's behaviors and well-being were affected by their surroundings.

I discovered UX research through a family member who believed I could apply my passion for psychology to technology. As a designer, I strive to improve the everyday interactions between the user and the product.
You can find me hanging out with my wiener dog Cocoa, exploring boba shops, traveling, or attending K-pop concerts when I'm not working!

My Background
Empathizing with others came naturally

Before discovering UX, I always wanted to be a doctor. With a strong interest in the mental health field, I strived to go to medical school and become a psychiatrist. I have a strong academic and professional background in healthcare settings and experience working in large teams and stressful situations. Most, if not 100 percent, of my experiences with patients involved fulfilling needs with a human-centric approach. I have partaken in a Health and Medical Occupations Academy, became an intern and a supervisor at my local hospital, and took advanced courses during my undergrad to qualify for medical school. After graduating, I took a role as a mental health technician for a psychiatric facility.

From healthcare to user experience (UX)!

I graduated from the University of California-Davis with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. I found UX at the end of my junior year right as schools were opening up again after the COVID-19 pandemic. My cousin, a product engineer at Oakley, encouraged me to explore other psychology-related industries. He invited me to his workplace where I spoke with a UX researcher on his team. Knowing that I could help people with everyday products stuck with me, and I took a 6-month UX/UI Design bootcamp from UC Davis Continuing and Professional Education.
